Before joining Coombs & Dunlap,
LLP as an associate, Karin
A. Poiré practiced general
civil litigation in the cities
of San Francisco and Oakland.
In
the course of her law career
Ms. Poiré represented
corporate and individual
clients in the areas of environmental
law, contract and real property
disputes, employment law,
workers' compensation, and
complex personal injury and
tort actions. She has expanded
her practice at Coombs & Dunlap,
LLP to include a specialty
in family law, including
dissolutions, legal separations,
custody and support, adoption,
guardianships and mediation.
Ms.
Poiré received her
undergraduate degree from
the University of California,
Los Angeles, and her Juris
Doctorate at Hastings School
of the Law in San Francisco.
While at Hastings, she was
Editor of the Constitutional
Law Quarterly and sat on
the Moot Court Board. She
also served as a law clerk
in the United States Attorney's
Office, civil and criminal
divisions, and taught Street
Law at Fremont High School
in Oakland.
Born in
Washington D.C., Ms. Poiré was
raised on the East Coast
and moved to Napa in 1994.
She was one of the founding
members of Napa Valley Charter
School, now Stone Bridge
School, and has served on
the governance boards of
both the school and its non-profit
support foundation. Ms. Poiré is
a past President of the Napa
Valley Nursery School and
past Vice-President of Napa
County Women Lawyers Association.
She enjoys spending her free
time hiking, biking, and
traveling with her family. |
