Miel Price Novak has been practicing in Estate Planning, Trust and Estate Administration, and Business Succession Planning since 1997. She has assisted clients in all aspects of planning and managing the business and legal consequences of incapacity and death, including wealth preservation, estate planning and estate and trust administration.

Ms. Novak is a fifth generation St. Helena resident. Ms. Novak graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California at Davis in 3 years, received her law degree from University of San Francisco in 1997 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1997.

Ms. Novak joined the Law Offices of Frank Toller in 1997, and co-founded Toller & Novak LLP in 2000. She was also a licensed real estate broker for five years.

Ms. Novak and her husband, Michael Novak, a family practice physician, have three children and are very active in the community. Her husband’s family owns a local winery in St. Helena.

Ms. Novak’s community service includes serving as a board member of the White Barn and on the Steering Committee for the St. Helena Ladies Luncheon Group. She is a member of the Professional Committee of the Community Foundation of Napa Valley. Ms. Novak is a current member of the Napa County Bar and the Napa County Women Lawyers. She also served as a board member of the Napa County Women Lawyers for two years. Ms. Novak served the schools in St. Helena as a board member of the St. Helena Public Schools Endowment Fund for fifteen years. She also was the Vice President of the St. Helena Cooperative Nursery School for two years. She has been involved in the St. Helena Montessori School since 2004.

When not practicing law, Ms. Novak enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking, fly fishing, skiing, reading, cooking and traveling.
